Many African countries face economic challenges, and Tanzania is no exception. Inspired by his experiences in various developing countries, Samuel Mäder, a digital nomad from Switzerland, founded TanzaniaAssist as a way to bridge the gap between travelers and local services, ensuring that tourism directly benefits the local economy.

Tanzania’s Untapped Potential
Despite its world-famous attractions like Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Zanzibar’s stunning beaches, many parts of Tanzania remain underdeveloped for tourism. Compared to other destinations, travelers often find it difficult to arrange services, communicate with locals, or navigate the transportation system. While Tanzania does have Uber in major cities like Dar es Salaam, many other areas still lack organized transport and digital convenience.

Language & Infrastructure Barriers
Tourists in Tanzania often face challenges such as language barriers, limited online booking options, and inconsistent service quality. While English is widely spoken, Swahili remains the primary language, and many service providers operate offline. Outside of major cities, ride-hailing services and digital payments are not as widespread, making travel logistics more complicated.

At TanzaniaAssist, we work with a network of local booking managers who handle all communication with service providers. They negotiate fair prices, confirm availability, and manage bookings on behalf of our customers. Additionally, they pay the service providers with local mobile payments to ensure quick transactions.

Online Payment & Flexible Booking
Many local service providers in Tanzania do not accept card payments. TanzaniaAssist allows travelers to pay for services online with a single all-inclusive price. We also offer flexible booking modifications, and for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance, we provide full refunds, giving travelers peace of mind.
